April fleurs -still seen through a glass dimly

We are in Texas until Ron's cataract surgeries May 14 and Jun 11.

5 Apr: We are up early again to retrain our bodies for early rising to drive to Brenham, TX for ophthalmologist appointments over the next six weeks.  Except, Ron fell back asleep.  He even smiles in his sleep! Rain is forecast for the day, beginning at ten AM.  Ron will continue working on Volume II. RIP Vol. I.

4 Apr:  Can we get up early again tomorrow?? . Ron is delighted the .pngs in Volume I are already gray and 300 DPI. He will correct two items in Volume I and not duplicate two appendices already in Volume I  in Volume II. But a page in Volume I was under a .png. He has six of the remaining thirteen appendices almost finished,  but the remaining appendices are extensive. Our total mileage today is 6.12.

3 Apr:  Can we get up early today??  Well, yes! but by the time we were walking, the day was hot and humid.  We oatmealed and exercised before enduring the elements.   The stock market fell so abruptly and so far that Ron was able to sell his most recent QQQ put for a profit.  Now he has the wherewithal to continue "playing" for at least a little while.  Neither of us can tell the difference in the 200 ppi pages versus the 300 ppi pages, but there is a lot to do between now and Volume 2 completion, but all systems are go - - - for tomorrow.  We walked 6.85 miles plus worked out at the fitness center.  Ron has been doing fitness center workouts every walking day. Cynthia started 3 times a week six weeks ago and we have twelve more weeks to do this before we start traveling.

2 Apr:  Can we get up early three days in a row??  Not so much, but we did get out to walk before the day heated up.  Ron is experiencing approach avoidance with James Lea.  The new LibreOffice 24.2 works wonderfully for the new huge files including hundreds of JPGs, but it changed the pagination on volume 1 already completed.  Fortunately Ron was able to also install the old version 7.6.4 which read the old file correctly. (From his beloved bride: isn’t Ron brilliant?)  Cynthia’s lab results are excellent.  We walked twice but not so intense, so we walked only 5.65 miles. 13, 750 steps.

1 Apr:  MEDICAL: Can we get up early two days in a row??  Yay!  We did it, groggily.  We exercised, then walked to the fitness center for Cynthia's upper body workout.  After noon Cynthia saw a periodontal dentist at one, after a stop for fitting at Carmen’s Alterations.  The peridontist was such a lovely, sweet lady from Greece, and we had a nice visit besides Cynthia's diagnosis.  After the dental visit we ate lunch at our favorite Jason’s Deli, shopped at ALDI, found Ron’s old hard drive at the storage locker, picked up a James Lea 200 ppi versus 300 ppi print comparison at UPS, got groceries at Wally World, returned to our condo, and walked a second time today. 5.12 miles.
